Acton Indepence Day Fireworks

After the parade and cook out on the 4th, I went to the fireworks display in Acton. They had many bands playing at the event and it was a great opportunity to speak with people in the area. I had great success and was able to speak to hundreds of different voters, all with a great diversity of opinions. While I was meeting voters I also got to hear several great local rock bands and the United States Airforce Band, who were all fantastic. It was a great event and my family and I will probably make it a yearly tradition to attend.

Sudbury Independence Day Parade

On July 4th our campaign assembled to march in the annual Sudbury Independence Day Parade. We had close to 30 volunteers(and one dog!) march with us as we greeted the people of Sudbury and wished them a 'Happy 4th!'. I meet dozens of people and shook hundreds of hands in the events, and it was a great opportunity to meet many of the district voters. While our older volunteers held signs, our younger volunteers distributed candy to many eager spectators. It was a great day and following the parade I hosted a cookout at my home in Marlborough for our volunteers. Thanks again to all of our volunteers for coming out to join us.

This won't be the only opportunity to march with our campaign though, we'll be marching again in the Labor Day Parade in Marlborough. Make sure you mark your calendar and join us on September 1st as well!

Campaign Kick-Off Reception

We held our campaign kick-off event this past week at the Devens Grill in Devens, Massachusetts. Despite the rain and it being vacation week for most people we had a great showing with people attending from all over the district. I was happy to meet many of the elected officials from the northern part of our district, and I look forward to working with many of them if elected.

I want to thank the Dumonts and the Hayes families for helping us host this event, and the Devens Grill and their staff for allowing us to use their facilities and for their excellent food. Later on this summer we'll be having a similar event in the southern portion of our district, for the chance to meet supporters and community leaders in those towns as well. Thanks again to all that attended.
